Becoming Kinder to Yourself:
A six-week, in-person meditation group
Monday evenings in Mount Pleasant, 6:30-8pm, January 22 — February 26
Led by Ellen McSweeney, LICSW
$480 ($80 per session)
If you have ever struggled with perfectionism, self-criticism, or just being "hard on yourself," you probably already know that your mind can sometimes feel like your worst enemy.
You may have heard that one of the best things you can do for your mental health is to cultivate a kind and loving relationship with yourself.
The question is: how?
This six-week, in-person meditation group will offer a variety of tools that can help with cultivating inner kindness, resilience, and emotional balance. Each session will include a guided meditation, time for discussion and questions, and a suggested "daily life practice" to help you develop new habits and skills.

Grieving the Loss of a Parent in Your 20’s and 30’s: A six-week, in-person meditation group
Monday evenings in Mount Pleasant, 4:30-6pm, January 22 — February 26
Led by Ellen McSweeney, LICSW
$580 ($80 per session, plus a 1:1 pre-group consultation)
The death of a parent can be a profoundly difficult experience at any age. For those of us who lose a parent in young adulthood, the grief can be compounded by a sense of isolation, as many of our peers have not yet experienced this life-changing loss. We also may face the challenge of navigating major life events -- such as engagement, marriage, and parenthood -- without our parent.
This six-week meditation group will bring together young adults in their twenties and thirties who have experienced the death of a parent. Each week, we will meditate together, using a variety of practices to support our grief and healing processes. There will also be ample time for group sharing, listening, and mutual support.
Whether your loss was recent or years ago, you are welcome to join this group.
Each group member will meet 1:1 with Ellen before the group begins.
